Our Story
At Game Genius Lab, the journey began with a passion for games and a vision to empower indie game developers and hobbyists. I’m Christian Ellsworth, a programmer, artist and musician. My adventure into game development started on GameMaker Studio, creating a rhythm game for my band Figure Factor called: Birds – The Game.
Since then I have been exploring AI animation, fractal programming and procedural generation. Lately I have been using LLMs to prototype game mechanics using Replit. These passion projects laid the groundwork for what would become Game Genius Lab – a hub for sharing innovative tools and fostering a vibrant community of game creators.
Our Mission
Inspired by the potential of collaborative creativity, we aim to build community and agency among indie game developers and hobbyists. We believe in the power of collective knowledge to drive innovation and exploration in game development. Our platform is dedicated to sharing useful tools, code demos, tutorials, and providing a space for feedback and growth. With an emphasis on procedural generation and generative AI, we offer unique tools and demos designed to educate both newcomers and professionals alike.
Looking Ahead
Our vision for Game Genius Lab is to become an indispensable resource for content creation, tutorials, and community engagement in the game development world. We are committed to continuously introducing new tools and adopting cutting-edge techniques to simplify game-making for small teams and indie developers. We envision a community actively engaged in forums, participating in game jams, and contributing to a growing repository of game programming solutions.
